A simple overview of the routine habits that help keep your spa clean, comfortable, and operating properly.
Your spa model, filter design, sanitizer system, usage, and local water conditions can change the right routine. Follow your Sundance® owner's manual and the labels on your water-care products whenever their directions are more specific.
01 · Weekly / regular care
Short, regular attention is easier than correcting water or circulation problems after they grow.
Omaha Hot Tubs recommends testing at least twice weekly and again after heavy use. Adjust only according to the test result, your sanitizer system, and product directions.
Keep sanitizer in its recommended range. If your spa uses a cartridge-based system, monitor it and replace components according to that system's instructions rather than a universal schedule.
Shock frequency depends on the water-care system, product, bather load, and water condition. Follow the label and your owner guidance, with extra attention after heavy use.
Keep water at the normal operating level described in your owner's manual. Low water can affect skimming and circulation.
Check for visible debris or restricted flow. Rinse or clean only as appropriate for your filter type, and never operate the spa without the required filters installed.
02 · Periodic care
Periodic care gives you a chance to reset the water, remove buildup, and notice wear before it becomes a larger concern.
Omaha Hot Tubs recommends draining and refilling about every four months, or sooner with heavy use or changing water conditions. Follow your model's instructions for shutting down, draining, and refilling.

Before a typical trip, take a few minutes to stabilize the spa rather than shutting it down.
Cold-weather reminder
Water left in plumbing or equipment can freeze even when the shell appears empty. If winterization or freeze-risk help is needed, contact Omaha Hot Tubs for guidance. Omaha Hot Tubs does not currently coordinate routine winterization service.
